Anesthesia
At least twice throughout the procedure, specialists will anesthetize you. The first dose of anesthetic is administered just before the hair follicles are extracted.
The doctor administers anesthesia as if drawing a line to the back of the skull.Anesthesia is administered from the neck to the back of the ear.The line ends just below the crown area where the hair follicles are strongest. This process is felt during anesthesia. When the anesthesia in the donor area is over, patients often say that they are numb from the first anesthetized area.Local anesthetics usually remain effective for some time between 3-6 hours. After the hair follicles are taken from the skin and just before the grooving starts, the second anesthesia is applied, this time to the hair transplantation site. This time, the doctor applies anesthesia as if drawing a line around the transplantation area. Some patients prefer to take the transplanted graft from the lower beard or chest area. The same process applies to these areas as well.
